Rise Group Inc is Hiring a Laboratory Administrator Near Braintree, MA

As a Laboratory Administrator for our Construction Testing Services (CTS) department, you will manage correspondence with customers, scheduling, data review, computer input, and billing. This essential role is at the intersection of project related information and project related personnel, which requires a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Frequent specialized data analysis required.


Responsibilities

  • Manage laboratory billing, supply requests, and client pickups.
  • Manage laboratory schedules, ensuring timely completion of tests and efficient utilization of equipment for the best branch resource optimization.
  • Analyze incoming samples for compliance and notify Branch Management of potential test issues or concerns. Utilize this opportunity to outline recommended action plans to clients for next steps.
  • Inspect and analyze received samples followed by initiating data login process and corresponding testing paperwork.
  • Produce specialized test reports to distribute and present analyzed test results to the clients.
  • Oversee and facilitate equipment repairs and conduct calibrations.
  • Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines. Responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment; demonstrates safety practices.
  • Write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and ensure standards are up to date in conjunction with management.
  • Assist management in the development of new tests.
  • Perform occasional testing using specialized equipment designed to collect data from the various construction materials.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time 40-hour position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Hours may periodically include nights and weekends and overtime may be requested as determined by the needs of the department.


Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years of related experience, OR Associate’s Degree in related field and two (2) years’ experience.
  • Demonstrated skill in cultivating and managing client and internal relationships to foster a positive working environment, to develop strong teamwork, and to resolve issues and problems in a positive manner.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability both within the company and in external business relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate, recognize, and manage risk/liability.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and follow through on assignments.
